Retro Steampunk Electronic Arts

My newest design shows off its copper and brass hardware highlighting its Cherry wood cabinet. Copper highlights throughout its design gives you the feeling the creative design could have come straight from a 1930’s Industrial or government laboratory.

Nixie Vacuum tubes are the technology of early digital electronics design well before the computer age. They were used by many of our government’s laboratories and in virtually all early designs of space avionic displays and ground station equipment. Today Ukraine suppliers still have NOS (New Old Stock) soviet made Nixie Vacuum tubes in limited quantities. Sadly, USA Made, Nixie tubes are almost instinct.

Its modular design, combined with today’s technology gives you not only a precession time piece, but also a versatile Bluetooth enabled amplifier with stereo speakers seamlessly integrated into this “One-of-a-kind” creation. It sounds beautiful connected to any Bluetooth device, including phones, mpeg players, TV’s and stereos

The clock & electronics design use real Analog Voltage, dB Level and Amperage meters that monitors the Nixie Vacuum tubes’, High Voltage power supply and the dB meters monitor Realtime room sound levels. Amber colored back lit meters are beautiful in any room of the house.  Other high tech touches include a infrared remote to control all clock functions, including time setting.

This clock has been a work of pleasure for me. It includes more than 140 hours of loving labor to design, build, craft, and wire the perfectly fitted Cherry wood case design.
